Description
Technical Parameters
Adhesive Resin in Dentistry is a key material in the dental restoration field, used to securely connect teeth to various restorations such as crowns, bridges, and orthodontic brackets, as well as to fill cavities. It effectively fills tiny gaps between teeth and restorative materials, strengthening tooth structure and improving appearance. Its excellent bonding properties reduce the risk of restoration loss and extend its lifespan. Its rapid curing and easy operation provide dentists with an efficient and reliable restorative solution, and it is widely used in dental clinics, oral hospitals, and denture fabricators.
Adhesive Resin in Dentistry advantage
●Superior Adhesion: Thanks to its special chemical formula, it tightly bonds to enamel, dentin, and common restorative materials (such as ceramics, metals, and composite resins), achieving a bond shear strength exceeding 17.2 MPa, ensuring long-term stability and withstanding the pressures of daily chewing and biting.
●Excellent Biocompatibility: Passing rigorous biocompatibility testing, it is non-irritating and non-allergenic to oral tissues, coexisting harmoniously with the oral mucosa, dental pulp, and other tissues without causing an inflammatory response, ensuring safe and comfortable use for patients.
●Natural Appearance: Its color closely matches natural teeth, and it exhibits excellent transparency and gloss. After curing, it blends seamlessly with the tooth, resulting in a natural appearance. It is particularly suitable for anterior teeth restorations, satisfying patients' pursuit of aesthetics.
●Abrasion and Corrosion Resistance: It performs exceptionally well in the complex oral environment, withstanding chemical damage from saliva, food debris, and other chemicals, while also resisting mechanical wear from daily chewing and brushing, maintaining a long-lasting, stable bond and minimizing restoration breakage and damage due to wear and corrosion.

Adhesive Resin in Dentistry Process
Xinshan is a professional dental resin supplier, providing one-stop solutions
Pretreatment
The doctor first thoroughly examines the affected tooth, assessing the extent of caries and defects. Using a high-speed handpiece and bur, the doctor precisely removes carious tissue and creates an appropriate cavity shape. The tooth surface is then treated with a 30%-40% phosphoric acid etchant for 15-30 seconds to remove the smear layer and create a microporous structure on the enamel surface, significantly increasing the bonding area. After etching, the tooth surface is rinsed with plenty of water and gently blown with an air gun to achieve a chalky white appearance.
Adhesive Application
Select an appropriate adhesive, shake it thoroughly, and evenly apply it to the etched tooth surface using a small brush or specialized tool. Apply a thin layer with a gentle air blow. Then, use a curing light with a specific wavelength (usually 400-500nm) for 10-40 seconds to cure the adhesive and establish a secure bond.
Resin Filling and Restoration Seating
For caries fillings, select a resin material of appropriate color and properties and fill the cavity in layers, no larger than 2mm per layer. Each layer is light-cured after filling. For adhesive restorations (such as crowns), apply adhesive resin evenly to the bonding surface between the restoration and the tooth. Quickly and precisely position the restoration, applying appropriate pressure to ensure a tight fit, and then light-cure.
Finishing and Polishing
After the resin has fully cured, the surgeon uses fine burs and polishing instruments to shape the restoration, aligning it with the adjacent and opposing teeth and restoring a good occlusal relationship. Fine polishing is then performed to reduce plaque accumulation and pigmentation, enhancing aesthetics and patient comfort.

FAQ
What you may want to know
Are there significant performance differences among dental bonding resins of different brands and models? How to choose the right products for our clinic?
+
-
Performance differences are significant. When choosing, if you prioritize bond strength and durability, consider high-end models from well-known brands, such as 3M RelyX Ultimate Adhesive Resin Cement. If you prioritize cost-effectiveness, compare domestic brands, such as Huge's products. Consider also the clinic's common caseloads (e.g., if you frequently perform caries fillings, choose products with easy application and excellent color matching; if you frequently perform crown bonding, prioritize strong bonding), as well as your physician's operating habits and budget. You can also consult us for professional selection advice.
What are the product storage requirements? What is the shelf life after opening?
+
-
Store at room temperature (15°C-25°C), in a dry place, away from light, and avoid high temperatures and humidity. The unopened shelf life is typically 2-3 years. Once opened, if properly sealed, performance is stable for 3-6 months. However, it is recommended to use the product as soon as possible and reseal it after each use to prevent contamination and volatilization of the ingredients.
Does the product have relevant quality certifications? How can I ensure I am purchasing authentic products?
+
-
Fast curing speeds can save time, but require the doctor to be quick and precise; slower curing times require more time for adjustment. Some products allow fine-tuning of the curing time by adjusting the power and duration of the curing light. Products with different curing characteristics (such as fast-curing and slow-curing models) can also be selected to meet the needs of different operating scenarios.
Do different dental components (such as temporary crowns and implant guides) require different resin grades?
+
-
Authentic products have certifications such as FDA, CE, and ISO 13485. You can request certification documents from the supplier to verify. When purchasing, choose an officially authorized distributor. Product packaging will have an anti-counterfeit label, which can be scanned or verified on the official website to ensure authenticity. This helps avoid purchasing from unauthorized sources and ensures product quality and compliance.
Can technical training be provided after purchase to help doctors better master usage techniques?
+
-
Yes. We offer free online training courses covering product features, operating procedures, and troubleshooting. For larger orders, we can arrange on-site training. After training, we provide an operation manual and video tutorials for doctors to review at any time, ensuring they are proficient in product use and improving restoration results.
If a product has quality issues such as adhesion failure during use, what are the after-sales procedures?
+
-
Contact the after-sales team immediately. We will arrange a professional consultation to analyze the cause of the failure (e.g., improper operation, product quality). If the issue is due to product quality, we will provide a free replacement or refund, and will cover any losses. If the issue is due to operation, we will provide a targeted solution and arrange for on-site technical guidance until the problem is resolved.
