Canadian Police Cracked A Case Of Illegally Manufacturing Guns Using 3D Printers

The police in Calgary, Alberta, Canada announced on August 25 local time that they had cracked a case of illegally manufacturing firearms by using 3D printers, and arrested two suspect on August 16, facing 66 charges.
Calgary police said that the gun investigation team investigated a suspected gun smuggler in 2020, and the police soon found that this person was suspected of using a 3D printer to manufacture guns.
In May this year, the police searched two houses in Calgary, seized three 3D printers of a certain brand, five pistols with 3D print cartridges, several gun bodies made by 3D printers, as well as parts such as sliding sleeves, barrel and trigger, and seized some ammunition, used bullet casings and drugs.
The two suspect are Brandon Vincent Wagner, 24, and Justin Kumar, 27. Among them, the charges against Vincent Wagner include 10 counts of illegal manufacturing of firearms and 7 counts of trafficking in firearms. He will appear in court on September 30.
