3D printer manufacturer AON3D launched its new high-temperature industrial 3D printer AON M2+.

This is an independent double extrusion (IDEX) FFF 3D printer with new and improved engineering material functions. With the industry's largest actively heated build chamber under US$100,000, it provides an open material platform for the highest performance filaments available today. M2+ is designed for functional prototyping and end-use production, aiming to make industrial 3D printing available to businesses of all sizes.

The end-use part attributes define how companies can benefit from 3D printing. AON M2+ is designed by our team of materials scientists to take full advantage of current and future economical thermoplastics, carbon fiber composite materials and high-performance polymers such as PEEK, PEKK and ULTEM.

AON3D's 3D printers are designed to combine large size, economy and wide material compatibility to provide alternative solutions for other high-temperature manufacturers. The company has provided services to more than 200 companies in more than 20 countries around the world.

In 2018, AON3D released its third-generation 3D printer AON-M2, a large-format high-temperature system designed to produce engineering-grade end-use parts for the automotive, aerospace, and healthcare industries. Then, in 2020, AON-M2 2020 was launched, which is another high-temperature FFF system whose improved focus is on parts accuracy, repeatability and higher reliability.

The new AON M2+ provides all the functions of its predecessor and more, bringing advanced material functions to a wide range of enterprises. The system is based on IDEX settings, which means that two identical parts can be 3D printed at the same time, doubling the throughput. This is due to the significantly large build volume of the M2+, which measures 450 x 450 x 640 mm.

The actively heated build chamber can reach 135°C, while the bed can be heated to 200°C. The process parameters are fully configurable, and the printing surfaces are also interchangeable, depending on the application and the first layer required.

Just like its predecessors, the material capability of AON M2+ is indeed the highlight of the system. The nozzle of the 3D printer has a maximum temperature of 500°C and is compatible with hundreds of different third-party filaments, including materials with a higher strength-to-weight ratio than aluminum, materials with chemical resistance and hydrocarbon resistance, and even ESD safe thermoplastics. In addition, users can process biocompatible and sterilizable filaments, as well as filaments with heat resistance above 250°C.
