1.What are the 5 axis on a milling machine?
3-Axis vs. 5-Axis CNC Machining
5-axis machines rely on a tool that moves in five different directions - X, Y, and Z, as well as A and B, around which the tool rotates. Using a 5-axis CNC machine lets operators approach a part from all directions in a single operation, eliminating the need to manually reposition the workpiece between operations.

 

2.Why is it called the 5 axis?

When someone uses the term "5-axis" they are typically referring to the ability of a CNC machine to move a part or a tool on five different CNC axes at the same time. 3-axis machining centers move a part in two directions (X and Y), and the tool moves up and down (Z).
 

3.What power is needed for 5 axis desktop CNC?

9.How should I clean 5 axis desktop CNC?

All of the electronics, motors and bearings on the 5 axis desktop CNC are fairly well covered so debris on top of them should not affect functionality. Clean the machine using a vacuum cleaner with an extension and/or soft brush attachment to get it. We do not recommend using compressed air. Compressed air can force chips into some of the electronics causing shorts.

Wipe the machine with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove fine debris and dust. Isopropyl alcohol is recommended for removing oil or grease.
